A Business I Can Truly Count On
I found Sensaria at an Autism Support Group Meeting I was going to for my son. Being the mother of a special needs child I was stressed, overwhelmed and working 50 hour weeks; something had to give. I stepped down from my position, but had to find another way to pay for my son’s therapy. I had never even been to a Spa Experience, but I believed in the quality of the products, and saw that there was no way to lose money and I was getting in on the ground floor. It was exciting!

I started with Sensaria in 2004. Fast forward to 2008 - my husband was on medical leave and was laid off two days after surgery. After 26 years of faithful employment, he was let go through the mail. It made me realize that, even though I also have a traditional job, my Sensaria business is the one I can truly count on.

The Rewards Of Lifting Others Up
What I love about selling skincare is the opportunity it gives me to get together with other women and tell the story of products that pamper people. It gives people a great excuse to just visit and relax. If you’re in this business only to make money, you will, but that’s not where the satisfaction is. Promotions come to you when you make it about helping other people. It’s an empty endeavor when it’s just about you; it’s much more rewarding to get behind other people and lift them up.

My two “desert island products” are White Tea Calming Serum and Sole Revival. The White Tea Calming Serum saved me a trip to the ER when I quickly used it on a burn. I also work as an Aquatics Director, so my feet are generally wet five hours per day. Sole Revival is AWESOME…it heals cracked feet, soothes soreness and calms inflamed toes.

I came from another direct sales company, and I can’t say enough about how amazing it is that our Hosts can apply their credit towards a Business Kit. That is just huge!

Bright Beginnings & Bundles Of Joy
My [future] upline, Jessica, was invited to speak at my Mothers of Multiples meeting. I wasn’t necessarily looking to start a business, but something she said sparked my interest, and I approached her for more information. I joined, and was totally “sold” after I had my $1000 kickoff party!

A month after I joined, I found out I was expecting my third child…and I already had 15 month old twins! I was determined to keep my business afloat! I held Spa Experiences until two weeks before my delivery, and attended a team meeting just days before my baby’s arrival. My biggest motivation is Maui - my husband and I have not been away together overnight in three years; we got engaged in Hawaii, and this summer is our fifth wedding anniversary. I want myself, and my team, to celebrate in Maui!

It’s great to have my own business and be part of a team. Seeing other people reach their goals and achieve success with Sensaria makes all the time and effort I put into this business so worth it!

Focus On The Fun
I joined Sensaria in September, 2008 after attending a Spa Experience at [my future upline] Holly’s house. My daughter and I thought Sensaria might be a great way to earn extra money for her upcoming trip to Washington, DC. If you know Holly, her enthusiasm is contagious!

My awesome downline - Amanda, LaRae, Traci, Cindy and Missy - all make my success possible. They joined because they saw how much I loved what I was doing, and how much fun I was having! I always focus on the fun!

Joining Was A “No Brainer!”

Sensaria Is Definitely My “Fun Job”
Attending my first Spa Experience last year was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. As a mother of two and a full time financial advisor I rarely take time for myself. I left that party feeling refreshed, relaxed and thinking about the guest list for my just-booked Spa Experience!

I am full of life, positive and happy. When people ask what I do I reply, "’Which job, my day job or my fun job’ because Sensaria is definitely my fun job."

I am passionate and believe in what I’m doing. I know that I make a difference to each and every person that I meet at my Spa Experiences. Even if they choose not to join my team, I know they’ll leave that night feeling good about themselves.

Turning Girl Time Into "Go Time"
I'm a high school Spanish teacher, and I can have the worst day at school, but I still get excited to drive to my Spa Experiences; it's my adult 'girl time. I found out about the opportunity from my sister, Lisa. She's been awesome and supportive, and I was excited to join her in this adventure. I divide my career with Sensaria into two distinct periods - pre-convention and post-convention. Before Convention, I wasn't fully committed. After Convention, when I saw people I knew walk across the stage, I said to myself, "I know I can do that, too."

The company incentives got me serious about my business - they not only helped me set goals, they helped me establish a strong and consistent business that will allow me to transition from my full-time teaching career to a full-time business with Sensaria! Ready To Rock and “Have It ALL”
When I received an invitation to a party where I would get to relax and soak my feet, I thought, "how cool is that?" That was it...now, I can't imagine my life without Sensaria!
My recruiter Laurie knew I would be good at this. It was her encouragement and praise that drove me to take the time to look over the opportunity. She never stopped following up. After I took a good look, I decided "why not?" Sensaria is a perfect fit for me, because I am very goal-oriented. There is always something to be working for. Teaching People To Better Their Lives
Direct sales wasn't something I ever thought I would do. But, once I realized it wasn't just sales, which I didn't necessarily think I could do; it was about offering something amazing to to others. I didn't want to be a pushy salesperson. But, I realized that I was teaching people how to better their lives, through the products and the business opportunity. As long as you believe in what you're doing, doing well comes naturally. I used to be a corporate trainer, working in the software and banking industry. I love educating people, so getting up in front of people was easy.

A Vision Of Her "Perfect Life"
Just months before I ever heard of “Mango Lotion,” I had reached a low point in my life. I was a single mom with a new job that didn’t allow me to be the parent I wanted to be. I began to think about and visualize “my perfect life;” I remember thinking that being my own boss would be good.

When a childhood friend told me about Sensaria, I thought it might be too good to be true. However, it became clear to me that I could really make money at this. Finding Passion And Purpose
For 26 years, I was an ordinary, quiet mom who cooked, cleaned and cared for her family. When I began as a Representative in 2001, I was scared to death. In the beginning, I practiced, practiced, practiced. What kept me moving forward in my business was a strong resolve inside of me. Ordinary People Can Do Extraordinary Things
I love what I do. My dream has always been to help others practice random acts of kindness. I was introduced to Sensaria in 2001. I hosted a party and earned lots of free products that I fell in love with. I began to consider the idea of a Sensaria business. What if I could make enough money working part-time to send our girls to private school? What if we had some extra income to write a check without thinking twice to help someone in need? Could I really do this? The answer was yes! I started with a few classes, a couple gals joined my team within a few months, and my business was in full swing. I have met many women through this business and several have joined my team to live out their dream. I love the excitement in the voice of a Representative when she realizes her potential. I love helping families in need with their monthly bills. I love that my husband and I can send less fortunate kids to camp. I love that we are able to reach out to people who are struggling and make a small difference in their lives. Perhaps one of the most incredible lessons I have learned is that ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

What I Was Meant To Do
I credit my dad for instilling in me a good work ethic. After starting as part-time holiday help, I worked my way up to managing the entire women’s apparel division at Nordstrom. The most memorable moment of my entire career there was being recognized for being “Department of the Month.” That day was unforgettable. But, once I wanted to raise a family, I knew I needed to “work” from home. In the beginning, it was all about earning about $1000 per month and feeling like a good mother the rest of the time. That all changed with my first team meeting. It took me right back to the corporate recognition meeting at Nordstrom. It reignited that old spark - the fire in my eyes, the competitive edge, the desire to be great, the need to be recognized, the feeling of being respected. I felt in my gut that this is what I was meant to do. There is no other place I can imagine growing so much, working around so many positive women and being able to shine in the spotlight at the same time. Sharing this business opportunity is no longer about “me.” It’s about the potential of another woman to realize her dream. It’s about connecting with other women who struggle with balancing a home life and working relationships. It’s about believing in people long before they believe in themselves, and then watching them grow in their own light.

Before I started with Sensaria, I worked as a litigation attorney for seven years. After my second child was born, the commutes, long hours and stress did not fit into my family life. I never imagined missing my children's breakfast, lunch and most times dinner only to come home exhausted and stressed trying to balance the professional me and the mommy me. With Sensaria, I continue to help others in a more positive way -- one that nurtures their well-being and health. I mostly enjoy empowering other women to make non-conventional job choices that better suit their health, families and lifestyle. When I first started this business, I did not think I could start a team. Helping Women Go From Stressed To Refreshed
My best friend was my Sensaria Representative. After being a customer, Host and Premier member for her, I finally decided to sign up as a "personal use" Representative. Then, she invited me away for a fun "girl's weekend" at Sensaria's National Convention. When I heard FREE PRODUCT, I was in!

I was surprised to find myself hanging on every word that was said at Convention. I was so impressed by where the company was going, and I suddenly realized I needed to go home and start really working the business. I was on the phone before I left Convention to book Spa Experiences and held my own launch party the week after I returned home.

A lot of women are so busy these days that they don't take time out for themselves on a regular basis. It is a treat to help them indulge in a little relaxation and pampering and I love watching women arrive to a party stressed and go home refreshed and happy.  This business has provided income for my family, new friendships, and greater self-confidence. It makes me feel so good that I am contributing financially to my family and to know that I am making a difference for our family and in the lives of other women. I am so grateful for my Sensaria business!

Offering Connection And Comfort
The Spa Experience is really the heart of my business and its growth. I have met all of my new team members at Spa Experiences. Spa Experiences offer an excellent environment for connection and comfort that naturally leads to offering the business opportunity.  Of course a pay raise is always nice! But for me, promoting to Advisor was not my primary goal. It just kind of happened as I grew my business. I love incentives, so as I try to earn an incentive, my business naturally grows.

My upline taught me to lead by example. Their efforts to keep in touch, be supportive and organize team meetings that are really super have all been the keys to keeping me motivated.

My husband and I own a construction company and that keeps me really busy. But I'm making it a top priority to stay in good contact with my team members, mentor them and offer my thoughts and ideas whenever they would like to hear them! I had such an amazing time at our National Convention. I came home inspired to take my business to the next level. I went to work immediately calling everyone I would like to be business partners with. Sensaria did a tremendous job organizing the Convention; making it busy, informative and motivating but never overwhelming. I'll never miss a Convention!

From Body Butter To Big Business
It all started with a tub of Coconut Body Butter. One whiff of that hypnotic scent and it was all over! So, that was the first product I fell in love with.

When it was time for me to make a donation to a fundraiser, I asked my friend Joan to donate a basket. She said she would give me the basket if I would host a Spa Experience. I thought, "What the heck is a Spa Experience?" I am a survivor of ovarian cancer - five years and counting! After my treatment, I found that my body couldn't tolerate skincare products with additives or preservatives. Sensaria worked for me, and I started telling all my friends about it. Before I knew it, I was selling Sensaria!

I couldn't believe Sensaria was actually paying me for talking about something I loved. I also couldn't believe all the free products I was getting...I kept thinking someone would call and say, "oh, we made a mistake sending you all that stuff, please send it back!"  This sounds like a broken record, but when you have a consistent business, that is 6-8 Spa Experiences per month, everything else that you want to achieve will be yours.

Working Towards A Goal Of Making A Global Difference
So many things attracted me to Sensaria, from the naturally based products to the values I could stand behind. Plus, I was impressed with the management team and their vision. My dream is to be financially free and to be able to make a difference globally by supporting missionaries and helping children.

"When you help others get what they want, you will get what you want." I love supporting my team members as they work towards their goals. I recognize the talents of each team member and invite them to shine by helping, training and offering encouragement. I value my team members for who they are, not what they do.

Sensaria Found Me
Sensaria found me. I was a member of a Mother's Of Preschoolers group and we had a spa day. My future sponsor introduced Sensaria's great products and I booked a party. I signed up less than five months later - and the next week I found out that I was pregnant with my third child. (My first two were one and two). If I could start a business under those circumstances, anyone can! I now use my income to pay for my daughter's preschool tuition and I plan to pay for her kindergarten, too. I was even able to take my husband on a much needed cruise this year!

I have my goals posted in a really cute frame in my bedroom. I also print out the current incentive flyer and post it on my bathroom mirror. These reminders keep me working towards by goals every single day. Baby steps every day, because with three children under five, I get side-tracked a lot!

I can't live without Sweet and Smooth, and the Pure Gold has improved my skin's texture. Someone just told me that they thought I was an entire decade younger than I am! I thought that spoke for itself, especially since I haven't had a good night's sleep in over five years!

Sweet, Smooth And Sincere
It feels amazing every time I achieve a goal I've set for myself and my business. I am constantly pushing myself to the next level, and I find I gain a new level of self confidence with each achievement.

I've tried really hard to keep everything very "real" when it comes to my business. I started with Sensaria to have a good time and make great friends. I love the product and I share it with everyone I know. I am very passionate about Sensaria and I believe that is obvious to those around me.

I use our products every day, so I can speak from my heart when I share a product with someone. I can tell her all the reasons I love it and what it will do for her. Being sincere is number one with me.

As for my favorites, the Sweet & Smooth had me at hello! But, you should know I get up at 4 am to go to work, and then I chase four kids around until bedtime...what did I ever do without Optimize??

Genuinely Excited About What I'm Selling
After years of volunteer work I was looking for something fun to do that would also reward my efforts financially. One of the most gratifying aspects of volunteering is creating a circle of people that work together, and I see this as a valuable "transferable skill" to building a team with Sensaria.

Being new to the business, I've used the company incentives to set my goals as I've taken time to explore the training options. To continue to achieve, I know I need to give consistent thought or "mind space" to the tasks at hand. Going forward, I need to stay focused and remember to always follow through with consistent communication.

Finding A Fantastic Fit
When I found Sensaria, I realized it would be a fantastic fit for me, and the perfect place for me to make a real business out of direct sales.

I truly believe that Sensaria has one of the best opportunities in the industry and I want to share that with everyone. When you take yourself out of the equation and really focus on filling the needs of others, your business flourishes. To get to the next level, you have to be willing to try things that are out of your comfort zone. Finding Family & Friendships; Community & Camaraderie
My Sensaria income is important to me, but I am also looking for a community.  I enjoy the friendships and the camaraderie that the direct selling industry provides for women. Sensaria promotes a healthy balance of the 'family feel' with a lucrative career path.

This is such a great time to dive into a home based business. So many people are looking for another source of income...and with scarce job opportunities, direct sales is one that people can hop right into without having to wait for someone to hire them. Direct sales is definitely a learning experience. I've grown so much not only as a business woman, but as a person as well.

Cooking Up A Successful Business
My Sensaria career gives me the unique opportunity to help other women achieve the same success and personal growth that I have achieved. It also allows me to "feed my brain" while showing my children that you can have success with all you do, as long as you put your mind to it.

I absolutely love to entertain; we often throw parties and organize impromptu dinners for friends. Always Excited For The Next Destination
I started this little "lotion business" to make a few hundred dollars for the "extras" as a single mom. I did that in my first month, and my business subsequently grew to pay the mortgage, the car payment, and financeall those "extras." Plus, it gave me a schedule flexible enough to allow for the most important job of all...being a mom!

There is always an exciting opportunity with Sensaria! This business can be so many different things to so many different women. Your Sensaria business can grow and change with your needs, whether they are extra income, discovery of hidden talents, security and stability, or recognition and achievement. I LOVE the fact that only by helping others fulfill their goals and realize their success will I be able to realize my own!

Moving Into The Driver's Seat
From the very beginning, Sensaria challenged me to get out of the passenger seat and move into the driver's seat. By taking responsibility for my own destination, I've been #1 in Personal Volume for three years, earned eight incentive trips, and most fulfilling of all, I received the Joy Barnes Hospitality Award, an award bestowed on the Sensaria Representative who best represents the "heart" of Sensaria, which is to help others.

You can't put a value on the benefit of having more time, which is what's most gratifying about my job. I no longer work three jobs, my husband was able to retire, and we are able to spend a lot more time with family and helping others in need. We both love to travel, and Sensaria has provided us with the income to take "mini-breaks" almost monthly.

I love that I am able to share the benefits of healthy living and self care, and help my team members develop self-confidence while earning extra income. I believe Sensaria has everything to offer, and it's my job to share that with others.
