Many of us have a singular moment that divides our life. For Rob Barnes, you could say it was “before Sensaria” and “after Sensaria.”

Before Sensaria, Rob was a highly successful, well compensated aerospace sales executive. He was also overworked, overtired and under stress. Life changes in an instant. For Rob, the joyful birth of his son in 2000 and the tragic death of his mother happened within a few short months of each other. Because of his high-pressure career, Rob was unable to be there for his family the way he wanted to be.

In his business travels, Rob had picked up a bottle of shampoo that he loved but had run out of. After calling the company to get more he learned that they were going out of business and he immediately saw an opportunity. He decided to take a chance and flew down to California the next day. Within a month, he had bought the company and his life — and the lives of thousands others — took a different path.

Rob created a direct sales company dedicated to helping women create successful businesses. Transforming what was then called Natural Bodycare from a tiny company fighting for shelf space in health food stores to the $12 M direct sales powerhouse Sensaria Natural Bodycare is today grew from one basic idea: Rob wanted to create a direct sales company where no one could lose money. In the process, he was also able to be the involved, present husband and father he always wanted to be.
